It’s the first day of October, and that means just one measly month left until Californians come out to the polls to elect their next governor. As our campaign edges toward its home stretch, we’re excited to announce a series of awesome public events. We hope you’ll come out and join us for one or more!
Tomorrow, October 2: Jerry and eMeg face off in their second of three televised debates; this time to be broadcast in Spanish on Univision. If you’re in or near the Fresno area, come out to our big rally at 12:30pm after debate taping finishes. Jerry will be there to make a big speech, and staffers will be on hand with all sorts of fun Brown for Governor buttons and signs. If you’re down in the LA area, don’t miss our East LA debate watch party at 4pm at the coordinated campaign office.
Saturday, October 9: Next weekend marks our massive statewide grassroots effort, Jerry Brown’s Day of Action. This is the perfect opportunity to meet other supporters, connect with voters, and spread Jerry’s message far and wide. Check out our event page to see where you can help out in your area. We’ll be rolling out more details and events next week as the big day gets closer, so if you don’t see something in your area now, have a look next week.
Tuesday, October 12: The third and final debate takes place at Dominican University in San Rafael. Jerry will post an event on his Facebook page next week that lists watch parties throughout the state, so stay tuned.
Friday, October 15 & Sunday, October 17: Our forty-second president, William Jefferson Clinton himself, will join Jerry and Lieutenant Governor nominee Gavin Newsom at two big events. Friday’s will take place in Los Angeles and Sunday’s in San Jose, so both northern and southern Californians have a chance to attend. RSVP now; you won’t want to miss this fantastic trifecta of Democratic leaders.
More to come, so take a look at the Events tab on Jerry’s Facebook page as we continue to post these fun happenings from now until Election Day.
